No setup,
sensible areas up :
  • 118.50/118.70
  • 119.64/119.80
Interesting Set up on DD .
TGT SHOWN BY SET UP HAS BEEN REACHED : ONCE MORE SUCCESS (though litttle profit...)
BUT:
  • If you see what we see, what Market is try to tell us AND NOT WHAT WE IMAGINE , the potential NORTH IS WIDER.Namely what indicated in posts herebelow.
  • A decent safe strategy north via options is Iron Butterfly.
Good afternoon

PS: where yen did stopped in its way up? right at 78.6. So what likely happen in the next hours? : EITHER / OR
  • It will be pushed back @the nearest suppport, regrouping and likely will attempt a further assault
  • It will break out impulsively toward the levels indicated .AKA 1:1

Fabrizio,

Congrat's once again on a very good call/observation on the Japanese Yen. Their was a nice DA day-trade after your post, and the SA is closing in on its target. Is past its breakeven point now.

Keep up the great work my friend!

marc
Thanks Marcus

BTW I wish to that incredible genius named Tom Joseph ,to Steve, Matt and all of you all the bests for the (now gone) Xmas and for a fruitfull and serene 2007. If I did it already, well being redundant in this case do not harm, right?! B

Quote:The US dollar and the euro headed higher against the yen in afternoon trading here, the Japanese currency still feeling the ill-effects of Thursday's decision by the Bank of Japan to keep interest rates on hold, dealers said.

At 3.09 pm here (0709 GMT), the dollar was at 121.40 yen, up from 121.31 yen in Sydney nearly four hours earlier. The euro was at 1.2967 usd, down from 1.2975 usd in Sydney and at 157.44 yen, up from 157.40 yen.

DBS said in a daily note: "With Japan rates low at 0.25 pct and the futures market discounting only two more hikes this year, yen-funded carry trades continue to be popular."

CMC Markets chief analyst Ashraf Laidi said he expected that the dollar could reach 122.60 yen towards the end of this week.
