We think the size and format restrictions are part of the reason more people do not use this forum to provide graphic feedback. It is indeed cumbersome - compared to forums that have virtually no restrictions except for size. Storage prices are really cheap now - and while this forum platoform might have been new 3 years ago - it now seems old fashion in terms of being able to post easily.
In addition - the failure of a PRINT image - as part of the DTP program - to create a PNG file - really makes it hard to manipulate images things so they can be readily posted. IN any case - there are no real instructions here how to best produce and submit images - so few people take the time to contribute. Thats a pity.
Three Suggestions:
1) Increase the size restrictions to about 1 MB each file type so we can put more high quality charts and images on the forum.
2) Introduce a .png option directly in the FILE - PRINT setup (Not sure how easy that is - but ESIGNAL does it)
3) Prepare a FAQ with simple and direct instructions how to best post images (DTP material, charts, etc ) to the forum. (If we missed it - perhaps you could help the users find it.... as it is not evident).
In these ways - the forum use should expand and there could be more QUALITY dialogue among DTP users - which should help us all. Marc and some other DTP staff post a fair bit - as theat is their job - but it sure would be nice to have it made easier for the users to do the same..
Thanks
